Edinson is a motivated graduate civil engineer with a strong foundation in structural inspections, remedial works, and construction support. He brings practical experience from the rope access industry, having carried out façade inspections, anchor testing, and building maintenance in challenging environments. With formal training in civil engineering and engineering management, combined with IRATA Level 2 rope access certification, Edinson contributes both technical skills and hands-on site capability. He is eager to develop his expertise in façade and remediation projects while supporting the delivery of safe, compliant, and high-quality outcomes for clients.

Vy Nguyen

BEng(Hons) MIEAust PhD

Vy Nguyen completed his Bachelor of Civil Engineering with First Class Honours in 2016 and Master of Civil Engineering in 2017. In 2022, he achieved a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in structural engineering with the Award of Excellence in a Research Thesis.

In 2021 he started his career as a graduate façade engineer. His passion is to produce efficient, practical designs that integrate architecture, structure, and sustainable building design. He has developed his skills in building envelope system design and detailing, materials engineering, and energy efficient buildings in Australia. He has experience on projects ranging from large retail and high rise to small scale residential and bespoke façade system projects.

Jean Tan

Jean is a highly experienced structural remediation engineer with over eight years specialising in diagnostics, remedial design, and contract superintendency for complex residential and commercial projects. She is an RPEQ-certified engineer with a PhD in structural engineering, bringing both technical depth and practical site knowledge.

Her expertise covers failure investigations, preparation of remedial specifications, tender assessments, and technical leadership during construction. She has successfully delivered projects involving façade leaks, waterproofing failures, retaining wall design, and concrete remediation. Jean also provides expert witness services and has appeared in legal proceedings to substantiate engineering evidence. Her combination of technical rigour, stakeholder coordination, and project delivery experience makes her a valuable addition to the team, particularly on high-risk remedial projects requiring clear documentation and independent oversight.

Brodie Saltmarsh

Brodie possesses an extensive background in the installation of Façade Elements and diverse architectural features spanning nearly a decade. During the pursuit of his trade qualifications in Glass and Glazing, coupled with certifications from the International Rope Access Trade Association, Brodie augmented his expertise with an Engineering Degree, offering a nuanced perspective. Driven by a fervent commitment to continuous learning in the Façade Industry, he transitioned to the Remedial Façade Engineering team.

Steve is the founder and principal engineer of Encase, bringing more than a decade of experience across façades, remediation, structural engineering, and heritage projects. He is a Chartered Professional Engineer and RPEQ with international recognition (IntPE, APEC) and holds specialist registrations in heritage, conservation, and risk engineering.

His expertise spans the full lifecycle of building assets, from initial design through operation, refurbishment, and demolition. Steve has led major projects involving façade audits, cladding replacement, structural and water ingress investigations, and heritage conservation. He combines hands-on diagnostic capability, including rope access inspections, with deep technical knowledge of façade and structural systems.

As principal engineer, Steve’s focus is on delivering clear, practical, and durable solutions that balance compliance, cost, and long-term asset performance. He is trusted by asset owners, builders, and government agencies to lead complex remedial and façade projects with independence and technical authority.
